As a Network Engineer at Rohlik, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our operations connected across multiple countries. With warehouses in different regions relying on seamless Wi-Fi and critical systems integrated with the cloud, your role will ensure the backbone of our business stays robust, secure, and ready for anything. Working closely with the Platform Engineering (DevOps) team, you’ll design, standardize, and, where possible, automate network infrastructure to support our growth and maintain operational excellence.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Collaboration and Coordination

• Partner with IT End User and Warehouser Support to ensure reliable connectivity in warehouses across multiple countries.
• Work alongside the Platform Engineering team to implement scalable and dependable network solutions that bridge our global operations.
• Coordinate with external network administrators to align on current setups and strategically plan for future upgrades.
• Collaborate with the Security team to ensure the network remains secure, compliant, and resilient against threats.

Automation and Optimization

• Identify and automate repetitive network tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Standardize network configurations and hardware across all sites, ensuring consistency and simplified maintenance.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively addressing performance and security issues before they impact operations.

Future Development

• Design and implement network improvements that support growth across countries and integrate seamlessly with cloud systems.
• Plan for the scalability and resilience of the network infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives involving cloud networking (e.g., GCP integration) and advanced security measures.

What experience should you have:

Technical Expertise:

• Solid knowledge of WAN, LAN, and general network architecture principles.
• Experience managing large-scale Wi-Fi networks in operational or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix or similar).
• Bonus: Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform.
• Extra bonus: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking.

Coordination and Problem Solving:

• Proven ability to collaborate with external service providers and align their work with internal objectives.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve complex network issues in diverse environments.
