Your new role

As a Backend Developer, you will focus on building, enhancing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using the latest Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design APIs, integrate systems, and contribute to cloud-based solutions on Azure. This is a hands-on development role where best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications using C# and .NET technologies
• Building and consuming RESTful Web APIs
• Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code
• Working with SQL Server databases, including query optimisation
• Deploying and managing applications on Azure cloud infrastructure
• Collaborating with frontend developers, architects, and product owners
• Following agile methodologies and participating in code reviews

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in backend development with C# and .NET technologies
• Strong understanding of Web API development and system integration
• Proficiency in SQL Server, including writing complex queries and database management
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC and/or ASP.NET Core
• Solid understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment
• Full-time availability to work 5 days a week on-site in Sydney
