You will lead, coach and develop a team of area managers to ensure sales and profit growth, while enhancing the in-store customer experience, and constantly driving strategies and programs to ensure continuous improvement.
Building a collaborative culture that strives for excellence through empowered accountability, monitoring retail KPIs including Team engagement, retention, Net Promoter Score, Revenue, Margin, and Cost of Doing business are also key components.
The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment within either a New Zealand or Australian retailer in either a specialty store environment (with several area managers reporting) or possibly leading a team of 60 plus in a large format store.
A background in areas such as department stores, DDS, Supermarkets, Liquor, category killers, pharmaceutical/beauty, apparel and fashion, and automotive could all be ideal. However, of prime importance is the sophistication of the processes, the retail standards you adhere to, the quality of VM, and the culture and values the team embraces.
