As the Modelling & Simulation Software Engineer, you are responsible for delivering software development work on a key MOD project for Nova Systems. The work will include development of software code, use of simulation tools and supporting the integration of modelling capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

• Development of software code

• Conduct unit and system testing of developed code

• Produce simulation models based on provided data

• Integrate modelling capabilities as part of a simulation federation

• Extract data from simulation systems

• Work as part of an industry team collaborating on development tasks

Required Experience and Skills


  • Defence Modelling and Simulation
  • Air / Maritime Domain Experience
  • Experience of Implementation of simulation systems
  • Development of simulation systems
  • Rapid Concepting / Prototyping
  • Software integration and federation
  • Understanding user requirements and translating to development tasks
  • UK Citizenship only (due to nature of the work we cannot accept anyone with a dual passport)
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
  • High level of ethics and integrity
  • Flexible, positive and committed team member who works to a very high standard.
  • Self-starter with a drive and intellectual curiosity to continuously improve and develop professionally.


The Team

You’ll report to the Capability Systems Programme Manager – James Wright and work project leads Chris Rolfs and Mark Gorringe.


Location

You can live anywhere within in reasonable commutable distance to our offices in Bristol or High Wycombe. You'll be required to travel to the client site in Farnborough a couple of days a week (travel cost and accommodation covered) but also have work from home days if you wish or be Nova office based - it's up to you. We endeavour to be as flexible as we can bearing mind the client needs, if you have any question please get in touch.


We have opportunities to join on Permanent or 12mth Fixed Term basis, employed directly by Nova Systems with access to full benefits in both cases. We can support immediate start for those looking to come on board with us straight away.
