Responsibilities

As a Mission Database Administrator supporting the customer you will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • working with a team of software developers to specify, design, develop, test and deploy the final system.
  • communicating with team leads and senior leadership with the ability to adjust direction in support of new and/or changing requirements.

Requirements

Requirements are, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated experience with installation, configuration, data migration, upgrades, and administration in Oracle 11g, 12c, 18.3, and 19 c single instance.
  • Experience in Oracle RMAN, OEM, IMPDP, EXPDP and installing Oracle Grid infrastructure and Database Security Patch set Updates.
  • Demonstrated experience with MySQL.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing security measures, access controls, role separation, audit, and logging in database solutions.
  • Experience with RAC databases.
  • Experience with MAXIMO databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with standard data exchange formats including Extensible Markup Language (XML).
  • Familiarity with AWS RDS.
  • Familiarly with DevOps tools, e.g., Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, Puppet and SonarQube.
  • Experience in Linux system administration and scripting.
  • Experience with database configuration via Maximo application.
  • Experience in Cognos.
  • Experience in Scrum / Agile Development process.
  • Experience with Tier 2/3 level production database support.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 11 years related experience.
