A recognized services organization in Stamford, CT is seeking a highly skilled MicroStrategy Developer to join their dynamic team. This a contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the data warehousing space. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise in MicroStrategy development, data warehouse design, and SQL query design to contribute to our ongoing projects.

***This is a hybrid role located in Stamford, CT, with a flexible schedule requiring 4 days in-office and 1 day remote***

Responsibilities:

• MicroStrategy Development: Leverage your expertise in MicroStrategy to develop robust reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Data Warehousing: Utilize your knowledge of AWS Redshift and other RDBMS systems to assist in the design, development, and optimization of data warehouses.
• SQL Expertise: Write efficient, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Testing & Documentation: Perform unit testing, write test cases, and document testing procedures to ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Collaboration: Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, collaborating with team members, managers, and other stakeholders to meet business requirements.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the cable/telecom industry and network topology, including familiarity with hybrid fiber coax networks, outage management, and related concepts, is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience:

• MicroStrategy Report Development: 5+ years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy report and dashboard development.
• Data Warehouse Design & Development: 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouses, preferably with AWS Redshift or similar RDBMS systems.
• SQL Query Design: 5+ years of experience in SQL query design for data extraction, reporting, and performance optimization.
• Analytical & Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a well-organized and methodical approach to work.
• Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Cable/Telecom Experience: Experience in the cable or telecom industry is highly preferred, particularly in understanding outage management and network topology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hybrid fiber coax networks and network-related concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing platforms like AWS Redshift.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
