We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to build, customize, and maintain visually engaging and high-performing websites for our clients. This role involves full-stack development, including the creation and integration of WordPress themes and plugins, as well as ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and security across all site components.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible websites using WordPress.
• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to specific client or business needs.
• Use front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Reactjs, AngularJs) to create interactive and visually engaging user interfaces.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend services, APIs, and databases using PHP and MySQL.
• Optimize website speed, performance, and SEO readiness.
• Implement site security best practices and regular vulnerability patching.
• Conduct routine website maintenance, backups, and version upgrades.
• Monitor live websites for errors, uptime, and performance issues.
• Ensure all code is clean, well-documented, and adheres to coding standards.
• Write and execute test cases (unit, functional, integration where applicable).
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Deploy websites and updates via CI/CD pipelines or staging environments.
• Maintain clear documentation of development and deployment processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress, PHP, and front-end technologies.
• Contribute to code reviews, team knowledge-sharing sessions, or internal documentation.
• Support less experienced developers and assist in mentoring when needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and product teams to understand project requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions using PHP and WordPress.

Skills

• Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• WordPress Expertise which includes Theme and plugin development from scratch, Custom post types, hooks, filters, and template hierarchy, WordPress REST API and WP-CLI.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (core and object-oriented).
• Expertise on API Integration Consuming RESTful APIs (JSON, XML), Third-party integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, etc.).,
• Proven experience in building intuitive and responsive user interfaces for both websites and web applications.
• Skilled in developing mobile-friendly, responsive layouts that maintain consistency across devices and browsers.
• Comfortable using browser-based debugging and inspection tools like Chrome DevTools and Firebug.
• Able to assess and implement CSS changes while ensuring consistent styling across all platforms.
• Capable of translating detailed wireframes and design mockups into functional HTML/CSS pages.
• Familiar with consuming RESTful APIs and working with data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Proficient in version control systems like Git
• Strong background in PHP-based back-end development and integration with databases.
• In-depth knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and strategies to address inconsistencies.
• Deep understanding of responsive web design principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on performance optimization.
• Experienced in troubleshooting and fine-tuning complex SQL queries for optimal performance.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS pipelines.
• Dedicated to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions across teams and platforms, including in person, over email, chat, or during code reviews.

Qualifications & Experience :

• BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA
• 4+ years of experience working in WordPress with 3+ years of PHP development experience
• 2+ years JS/Jquery//React JS/Angular experience
