SQUARE Engineering Firm is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Team Leader – Engineering Management to lead the technical review of tendering documents, identify gaps, and provide detailed feedback to ensure project clarity, compliance, and engineering excellence. This role is essential in coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining high technical standards throughout the tendering and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review tender documents and provide technical feedback on specifications, compliance, and risk factors.

- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or unclear requirements in project scopes.

- Coordinate with design, procurement, and tendering teams to resolve technical ambiguities.

- Conduct compliance reviews in alignment with local and international codes and standards.

- Recommend value engineering alternatives that maintain design intent while improving cost-efficiency.

- Implement structured quality assurance procedures, checklists, and validation protocols.

- Support commercial teams with technical inputs on change orders and cost assessments.

- Facilitate coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.

- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams during project execution.

- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, tendering, or project technical evaluation, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, compliance reviews, and documentation processes.

- Proven ability to assess tender documents and identify technical gaps.

- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

- Proficient in engineering calculation tools (e.g., HAP, Elite, duct sizer).

- Experience in reviewing and coordinating shop drawings is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

- Experience collaborating with tendering, procurement, and commercial teams.
