The Mechanical Integrity/Reliability Engineer assists clients in the development and maintenance of OSHA PSM/EPA RMP required Mechanical Integrity programs. This position requires a firm understanding of asset reliability, risk based inspections, and practical knowledge of industry best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support development and implementation of Mechanical Integrity Programs in accordance with best practices and industry codes and regulations.
Assist in development of maintenance programs and procedures for fixed and rotating equipment.
Assist clients in ensuring asset and production targets are met by effective preventative maintenance techniques.
Improve client maintenance strategies based on reliability and risk analyses.
Provide reliability expertise in new client projects.
Update clients on industry news related to inspection techniques or regulatory changes.
Interact regularly with clients to troubleshoot Mechanical Integrity related problems and provide sound advice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical engineering preferred or maintenance background. Minimum two years experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or other heavy processing industry required. Practical knowledge of corrosion, risk based inspection techniques, and various industry codes. API certification is desired.
This position does require 25 – 75% travel. Candidate must have ability to manage multiple projects involving consultants or cross organizational teams.
