Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Mechanical Field Coordinator to work on an initial 6-month contract in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Coordination: Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to mechanical construction, including the installation of structural steel, piping systems, and equipment setting.
Project Oversight: Ensure proper execution of project plans, schedules, and work orders while addressing any issues that arise on-site. Monitor progress and make adjustments to keep the project on track.
Team Leadership: Supervise and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure that all team members are following safety protocols and delivering quality work according to project specifications.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical installations (steel, piping, and equipment) meet engineering standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. Perform regular inspections and oversee the testing and commissioning of systems.
Safety Management: Uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed, including site inspections, hazard identification, and reporting. Take proactive steps to minimize risks and accidents on-site.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification in mechanical, civil, or construction management is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical field coordination, with specific experience in structural steel, piping, and equipment setting.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (such as OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
