Mechanical Engineer (NX CAD Modeler)
12 Months Contract opportunity

Rate: $36 - $41/hour on W2 (The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Expertise in parametric design, assembly design and sketching.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated NX CAD Modeler to join our Battery Modeling Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and iterating detailed 3D models and assemblies of battery packs, modules, enclosures, and associated components using Siemens NX Software.
Key Responsibilities:
Create high-quality 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings of battery modules, packs, and enclosures using Siemens NX.
Perform tolerance stacking / analysis.
Build parametric assembly models with assembly constraints to allow scaling.
Use tolerance stacking to build a design distribution.
Create scripts / NXOpen applications to automate designs and design processe.
Use geometry evaluation tools to perform quality checks and clean up model
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing to develop integrated battery systems.
Ensure models adhere to design standards, GD&T, and best practices for manufacturability and assembly.
Maintain model integrity and revision control using PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in 3D modeling with Siemens NX, ideally within the consumer electronics or battery industry.
Expertise in parametric design, assembly design and sketching.
Expertise in geometry analysis and cleanup
Experience in battery pack/module CAD design is highly preferred
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and design for manufacturing (DFM).
Proficiency in working within a PLM system (e.g., Teamcenter).
NXOpen programming skills highly preferred.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
NXOpen programming and automation expertise
Expertise in Synchronous modeling tools in NX
Familiarity with FEA and geometry pre-processing for FEA.
