Mechanical Design Engineer

Onsite M-F, 8am-5pm PST
12 mo. yearly renewing contract
Required Skills & Experience
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience at system and piece-part levels on Server/PC/Routing/Switch Products
• Strong knowledge of PTC Creo, sheet-metal design, die-casting, plastic injection molding, heatsink design, tolerance and analysis, cables modeling, and GD&T
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Day-to-Day:
• Work on assigned projects under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Contribute to the design and development of systems using established tools and processes.
• Provide technical expertise and support in mechanical design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in product design cycles and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on assigned projects.
• Utilize PTC Creo for 3D/2D modeling and design.
• Develop and optimize sheet-metal, die-cast, and plastic injection molded components.
• Design and analyze heatsinks and related thermal management solutions.
• Ensure designs meet tolerance and analysis requirements.
• Model and integrate cables into system designs.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise and accurate designs
