Cedar Valley is a proudly Canadian snack brand on a mission to bring authentic style pita chips to families across North America. From humble beginnings — making pita chips in our home kitchen — to becoming a national brand on shelves at Costco, Whole Foods, and over 2,000 stores, we’ve grown fast. We manufacture everything in-house, use 100% coconut oil (never seed oils), and are inspired by our Lebanese roots.
As our first-ever Marketing Manager, you will own and lead everything related to marketing, branding, and communication. From shaping strategy and planning campaigns to writing copy and launching content — you’ll be the brand’s voice, storyteller, and creative engine.
What You’ll Do
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Build and own our marketing roadmap, aligned with brand and sales goals
- Define and refine our brand positioning, values, and key messaging
- Set KPIs and lead monthly reporting on performance and ROI
- Act as the internal marketing voice across departments and leadership
- Perform consumer studies and develop action plans based on market findings
Brand & Creative
- Ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints — packaging, website, digital, retail, events
- Manage and evolve brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity
- Coordinate and direct freelancers or agencies (graphic design, photo/video, PR, etc.)
Retail & Trade Marketing
- Develop and manage sell sheets, POS materials, display mockups, and planograms
- Collaborate with the sales team on regional activations, Costco roadshows, and launch kits
- Support demos and in-store marketing programs, and liaise with brokers on marketing needs
- Travel to retailer meetings as needed to support the sales team and ensure retailer needs are met
Digital, Content & Community
- Create social media marketing and influencer partnership strategies to grow brand awareness and support retail launches
- Own and manage content calendar for social media, email (Klaviyo), and website (Shopify)
- Write copy, coordinate visuals, and post across all digital platforms via agency partners
- Build our community — run influencer programs, giveaways, sampling campaigns
- Update and optimize website content and pages as needed
Performance & Growth Marketing
- Launch and manage paid ads (or coordinate with agency) across Meta, Google, etc.
- Track performance metrics (engagement, CTR, sales lift, CAC, etc.) and optimize
- A/B test creative, landing pages, and offers to improve digital ROI
What You Bring
- 4–7 years of experience in CPG marketing or brand building
- Experience building or managing a brand across retail and digital environments
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities — from IG captions to sell sheets
- Comfortable being hands-on and owning projects from start to finish
- Familiarity with Shopify, Email Marketing, Canva, Meta Ads, and retail promotions
- Entrepreneurial mindset — able to work independently, solve problems, and take initiative
