Marketing Coordinator
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), one of India's top-ranking Universities, seeks a proactive and media-savvy Press Relations Executive to join our dynamic marketing team at the Mumbai campus.
In this strategic role, you will manage the University's media relations, work closely with the PR agency team to develop compelling press materials and enhance the University's reputation across various stakeholder groups. You will collaborate with different Schools and Campuses to communicate NMIMS achievements, initiatives, and thought leadership to external audiences while working closely with media outlets to secure valuable coverage that aligns with the University's positioning and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualification and Work Experience:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field from a recognised university.
2. 3 to 5 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or journalism.
3. Demonstrated success in securing positive media coverage and managing media relationships.
4. Experience working in a complex/matrix organisational structure is highly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Hard Skills:
1.Media Relations: Strong understanding of the media landscape and proven ability to secure positive coverage across various platforms.
2.Content Development: Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling press releases, statements, and media pitches. The ability to communicate in multiple languages will be an added advantage.
3.Crisis Communications: Experience in managing sensitive issues and developing appropriate response strategies.
4.Digital PR: Understanding digital PR strategies and integration with traditional media relations.
Soft Skills:
1.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
2.Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with media representatives and internal stakeholders.
