Map Editor CAD Technician: Full-Time

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: Commensurate with experience

AeroTech Mapping is seeking a skilled Map Editor CAD Technician to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will utilize AutoCAD Civil3D to develop and edit topographical maps for our diverse portfolio of projects. You will work collaboratively with team members to generate and clean contour information, edit and label 3D polylines, and incorporate detailed map elements such as blocks, text, and legends to produce accurate and presentable maps for client use.

Minimum Qualifications:

o Completion of a CAD Tech school program or equivalent

o Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

o Must pass internal AutoCAD technical test

o Strong multitasking skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

o Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D preferred

Responsibilities:

o Create and edit 3D polylines and surface data for topographical mapping

o Generate and label contour lines and elevation data in AutoCAD Civil 3D

o Clean and organize contour data for clarity and presentation

o Add and edit map features such as buildings, curbs, sidewalks, and vegetation

o Utilize AutoCAD blocks to denote topographic items (valves, manholes, lights, etc.)

o Add legends and project-specific details to map layouts
