Job Description

One of our automotive clients is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The engineer in this position would be responsible for assisting with a Traceability initiative that involves plant support during the implementation of new scanning equipment.

Additional responsibilities in this position include:

• Conducting reviews of current scanners status across the plant

• Leading the acquisition process of new scanners

o Sourcing new scanners

o Obtaining quotes

o Communicating with suppliers

• Gathering labor estimates from Global Industrial Engineering team members

• Working alongside plant teams to prepare, schedule, and supervise installation of new equipment

• Working alongside plant teams and IT teams to develop validation criteria to ensure data systems for tracing are set up and operating as intended

• Working alongside Product Development teams on label releases

• Writing process sheets/operator instruction sheets
