About Fidelity International China Business

China is a critical, long-term market for Fidelity International. We have been investing in Mainland Chinese companies for over 20 years and we aim to build a new, modern and digitally-based local asset management firm over the long term.

As a leading global financial institution, Fidelity International is a pioneer in China’s asset management industry. Since 2004, we’ve built up 3 offices in Shanghai, Dalian and Beijing. Currently we are a proud employer of over 1,500 staff in China. In January 2017, Fidelity was the first global asset manager to register with the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) as a private fund management (PFM) company.

In December 2022, Fidelity International been granted the Permit to Conduct Securities and Futures business in China by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). With the approval, Fidelity International will be able to commence a wholly-owned mutual fund business in China and serve a wider group of investors in the country with a consistent approach as we operate in every market in the world.

We have been making continuous efforts to introduce our extensive experience in the pension business globally into China. With strategic partnerships with key local players, as well as through our own digital platforms, we strive to conduct effective investor education and share our pension investment expertise to, ultimately, enhance Chinese people’s retirement readiness and financial wellness.

Fidelity International is also keen to play as a critical force driving positive changes for China’s financial industry. We are committed to working closely with the Chinese regulators and partners to foster a robust industry eco-system and supporting China to further grow its influence in the global financial market.
