This role supports the data needs of the division, whose mission is to provide end-to-end administration of income tax for small businesses by partnering them and stakeholders to maximise voluntary compliance and ease compliance effort.

What You Will Be Working On
Data Analytics
Understand stakeholder's data requirements and use cases and develop analytics and AI approaches/models to meet requirements
Leverage analytics/ AI tools to perform data analysis, interpret findings to identify actionable insights to meet teams'/divisions' objectives.
Develop dashboards to support reporting and performance monitoring
Apply data techniques and use software for data analytics and data visualisation to present data and insights effectively
Data Governance and Management
Assist with the servicing of data sharing with requesting agency
Ensure proper completion of data request forms by requesting agency
Provide clear definition of data and ensure appropriate data quality standards to ensure data quality is fit for use
Work with IRAS’ central data Division to manage data related initiatives
Perform routine data management activities (e.g. data curation) to upkeep data repositories to ensure that data is ready for analysis
Perform data mining to support internal stakeholders in their respective areas of work
Understand, and adhere to IRAS Data Management policy, standards, procedures and guidelines
Enhancements & Continuous Improvements
Keep abreast with latest developments and best practices in use of analytics/ AI solutions
Identify new development, contribute ideas and participate in integration into existing work areas.
This includes upskilling to keep up with latest more advanced DSAI technologies
Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and simplify work processes and policies, bringing about greater value to IRAS and stakeholders
Partner relevant stakeholders to operationalise process improvement
Adopt a mind-set of growth with generation of new ideas, methods or solutions in area of work
Participate in developing new prototypes and push past existing solutions to address problems, creating opportunities to achieve team/branch/division's objectives
Proactively keep up with new knowledge and technologies and apply in work domain
Drive Digital Initiatives
Perform testing to ensure the design and development of the system meet users' requirement prior to deployment
Keep abreast of emerging technologies to achieve greater value in data work
Create and propose solutions and strategies to tap on emerging technologies in course of work
What We Are Looking For
Academic background in data analytics/ data science, where ability to code (e.g. in Python) is necessary
Experience in data analytics/ AI work preferred
