Summary

Role Description –

Join our team and help protect Grant Thornton from risks that arise from its professional practice. Risk Management teams provide coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, regulatory and risk management issues, as well as dealing any queries regarding the organisation’s ethics.


You’ll help us meet our compliance responsibilities while supporting our client-facing teams as they deliver quality service to their clients.

Job Role

Assist in the firm’s independence confirmation procedures and processes to identify and document potential conflicts of interest that may occur within the Grant Thornton member firms.


  • Assist in the firm’s independence confirmation procedures and processes to identify and document potential conflicts of interest that may occur within the Grant Thornton member firms
  • Perform research, screen firm’s databases to identify existing relationships and compliance testing
  • Research and build ownership structures/family trees of Grant Thornton clients using external databases and secondary research
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the team
  • Review tasks performed by team members to ensure timely delivery of high quality work
  • Build, maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions
  • Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members by providing timely and effective mentoring
  • Support business development efforts and collaborate with other divisions within the Firm to build cross-functional relationships


Must Haves

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Business or Social Sciences
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in a similar role, particularly in a professional services firm will have a preference.
  • Good knowledge of secondary research sources (e.g. Orbis, D&B, companies house) would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Strong critical thinking skills
