Summary

About the Role:

You will lead a team of Analysts and use technical expertise to guide the delivery of reports and dashboards. Combining business analysis with technical knowledge, you will ensure understanding between our requirements and technical execution. You will understand complex needs, gathering and analysing requirements, and delivering accurate, applicable data insights to support decision-making, with an important focus on ensuring Finance Business Partners. You will report to the Lead Manager - Business Intelligence and Automation and work on a hybrid basis.


You Will:

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Coordinate the work of the Analysts.
  • Ensure understanding of high-level strategy and goals
  • Provide support, and ensure team efficiency


Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering

  • Promote communication between business stakeholders (Finance) and the team.
  • Gather our requirements into clear specifications for technical execution.


Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate with business teams to clarify requirements
  • Manage expectations, and ensure understanding between our needs and the reporting team's output.


Project Management & Reporting

  • Manage project progress,
  • Facilitate UAT
  • Ensure the solution meets requirements
  • Report on status to leadership, highlighting issues, and next steps.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions for new reports and dashboards.


Data Management

  • Oversee the identification, integration, and validation of data.
  • Ensure the correct data sources are being used for reporting
  • Improve data collection and integration processes.


Technical Oversight

  • Provide oversight of technical tasks such as report and dashboard development. Ensure quality assurance, testing, and troubleshooting of technical solutions to meet our requirements.


Continuous Improvement

  • Focus on identifying opportunities for process optimization and workflow improvement in data management, reporting, and team efficiency.


Knowledge and abilities Required

  • Proficiency in financial data and reporting
  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders
  • Advanced level of PowerBI knowledge
  • Assess data models to ensure effectiveness and ability to meet requirements
  • Evaluating existing data systems and data warehouse.
  • Evaluate system for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and increase data systems


You Have:

  • 5 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence & reporting or related field
  • Minimum 2 years as team lead
  • Knowledge of database management and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
  • Applied analytics experience
  • Agile methodology (SCRUM) knowledge
  • Effective communication and team management skills
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based data warehousing such as Snowflake, would be advantageous
  • Experience in Global Business Services (GBS) environment
  • Experience supporting a diverse End-user group would be useful
  • Knowledge of Python or R
