Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase orders for pricing, contracts, and project scope.
  • Organize and lead order entry meetings and manage documentation.
  • Source and coordinate externally supplied materials, subcontractors, and services.
  • Conduct site visits, assess field conditions, and ensure alignment with project needs.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and scope changes while mitigating risks.
  • Manage client relationships, vendor partnerships, and project reporting.
  • Lead process improvements by implementing a new project management system.
  • Mentor and develop a growing project management team.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience (food/plastics industry preferred).
  • 3+ years of people management experience, with a focus on team-building and culture development.
  • Strong skills in client relations, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project tracking tools.
  • Experience researching, recommending, and integrating new PM systems.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • SAP (ERP) experience is a plus.

Must-Haves:

  • Ability to transition project management from spreadsheets to a structured system.
  • Experience in selecting and implementing PM software.
  • Background in construction or related industries is a plus.
  • Leadership in team development and fostering a strong project culture.
