Summary

About Role: We are seeking a highly qualified Manager for Physical Security with a distinguished Armed Forces Background (preferred) / relevant experience in managing Physical Security for a large company managing multiple different sites and strong linguistic skills in Malay, English, and any other language. This role will encompass responsibility for managing physical security operations across Malaysia.


Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive physical security strategies to safeguard our Employees, business, facilities & assets.
  • Effectively manage security operations which includes but not limited to; alarm monitoring, threat assessment & response, effective dispatching & communications, emergency response, security systems troubleshooting, incident management, notification & escalation, investigations for corporate-wide major events, and regular reporting on metrics and performance to Operations Management.
  • Manage security systems and processes, to protect personnel, electronic, and physical property. Conceptualize security system designs for the latest upgrades for existing facilities and oversee vendors during installation and implementation of services.
  • Regional Oversight: Oversee and coordinate day-to-day security operations in Malaysia and oversight on other countries like Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia and ensuring consistent implementation of security protocols
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend proactive security measures for each location.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and maintain robust emergency response plans for each site, ensuring the organization's readiness to handle crises.
  • Investigations: Conduct & support investigations at site or region level
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a Security team, ensuring proper trainings are provided on Safety, Security, and Operational Risk at regular intervals. Proper conduct of drills as per client requirement or as per local compliances of BOMBA
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local, national, and industry-specific security regulations and standards.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Security service providers and vendors across Malaysia & SEA.
  • Liaison: Act as a liaison with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services in the event of security incidents.


Qualifications:

  • A background in the Armed Forces will be preferred, with experience in security and risk management.
  • Fluent in Malay, English and any other language to effectively communicate with employees and local authorities.
  • Preferred candidates will have prior experience in managing physical security operations for BPO/ITES or similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
