Team Overview
We are seeking a Senior Specialist, System Administrator in Bengaluru with extensive experience in Linux and Windows as well as leadership experience to join our Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. This team is vital to ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficiency of the systems supporting our infrastructure.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and optimizing our systems, resolving technical challenges, implementing advanced storage and virtualization solutions and provide leadership for the local Desktop support, DevOps and DBA team members. you will be hands on with regards to technical work whilst also managing a small team of Network Engineers, IT Support and DevOps Engineer. You should be willing to be just as hands on technically as your team - we are looking for you to lead from the front.

Role Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage critical IT operations, including Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems, messaging middleware (e.g., WebSphere MQ), EMC/Dell/Pure storage devices, Postfix mail, application and web servers.
- Manage the performance and delivery of our infrastructure, DevOps and IT Support staff in our Bengaluru office.
- Automate manual processes and system tasks using scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
- Apply engineering principles to design, develop, implement, and maintain integrated computer systems. Provide technical expertise and recommendations for IT projects and initiatives, enhancing and modernizing existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure minimal downtime.
- Establish guidelines and methods for managing computing systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of critical resources.
- Administer middleware and support systems, including WebSphere MQ and other application integration solutions.
- Ensure robust system security, including SSO administration (e.g., Active Directory, SiteMinder, KeyCloak, Azure), and contribute to cloud migration and application integration initiatives, especially in AWS environments.
- Maintain and manage the implementation and setup of PAM and MFA solutions (e.g., Cisco DUO, Microsoft Authenticator, etc…)
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior System Administrator in Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, virtualization, SOA, server management, databases, and IT service models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS).
- Expertise in Linux and Windows administration, Shell scripting, and networking fundamentals, with strong knowledge of managing Linux OS and storage solutions such as EMC/Dell and Pure Storage
- Previous experience managing the performance and delivery of a team.
- Strong knowledge of operating system hardening and CIS benchmarking, along with the deployment of security measures.
- Experience with administering middleware systems such as IBM WebSphere MQ, WebLogic Application Server, and Apache Webservers.
- Experience with DNS protocol and implementing and administering authentication and authorization tools for AD/LDAPS, SSO, SAML (e.g., SiteMinder, KeyCloak, Azure, etc…)
- Hands-on experience with system and network monitoring tools such as Nagios, as well as with firewalls and security protocols.
- Proficiency in VMware technologies, including ESXi and vSphere, for virtualization and system optimization.
- Proficiency in project management, application integration, and cloud computing, with a focus on AWS solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage complex IT environments while proactively driving system improvements.
- Hands-on experience with FTP, SFTP, and MFT file transfer protocols and data sharing.
