Role: System Operations & Maintenance Engineer (DW/ETL)

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Required and Qualifications:

OS: UNIX, Windows

DB: Oracle, ACCESS, Sybase

Programming language: Java, SQL, VB script, Shell script

Other: Job management tool, ETL, Web implement experience (HTTPS or SCP transfer)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experienced in Production Support & Maintenance: Skilled in handling data warehouse systems, batch processing, error recovery, and system updates.

• Strong Technical Background: Proficient in UNIX/Windows, databases (Oracle, Sybase, Access), and programming languages like Java, SQL, VB Script, and Shell Script (4+ years' experience preferred).

• Problem-Solving & Investigation Skills: Capable of independently identifying and resolving system errors and managing specification changes or vulnerabilities.

• Communication & Collaboration: Able to coordinate with both onsite and offshore teams, manage user inquiries, and communicate effectively in English.

• Work Discipline & Flexibility: Comfortable with hybrid work (3+ days onsite), handling user support, ticket tracking, and occasional overtime when required.
