Duties:
Set up and operate laser etching machines, including adjusting laser power, focus, and beam alignment to achieve desired etching depth and quality
Laser etches carbide round tool with company specific information, attention to detail is a must.
Import and manipulate digital designs in CAD software to create etching patterns, ensuring proper scaling and placement on the material
Load and unload materials onto the laser bed, properly securing them to ensure accurate etching
Inspect etched products for accuracy, consistency, and defects; make adjustments to machine settings as needed
Puts finished tooling in tubes, trays, and or tubs.
Labels tubes and or boxes.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on the laser etching machine, including lens cleaning and checking for potential malfunctions
Makes customer deliveries using company vehicle.
Cross train on other operations such as wheel dresser, cut off, pulling raw material, and sorting regrinds.
Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
