Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Production Lead to join our team. As a machine operator-production assistant, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. You will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. This is a crucial role in our manufacturing operations and requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your goal will be to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process. Responsibilities: -Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use according to specifications and prepare machines to start a production cycle - Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines - Report all quality, production and equipment issues plant manager - Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning - Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area - Reporting safety hazards within the work environment - Communicate with supervisors to formulate objectives and understand requirements - Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines - Determine amount of needed resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) - Verify output to detect any machine-related mistakes or flaws - Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications - Ensure output meets quality standards - Help to ensure production targets are achieved, including monitoring staffing, waste and productivity - Ensure efficient and effective line change-overs - Create and maintain activity logs - Be accountable for the general operation and efficiencies of production operations - Use basic math skills to measure and calculate - Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision -Collaborate with supervisor and team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes Skills/Requirements: - 2 years experience in an industrial setting as a production worker operating machine - Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks - Ability to identify issues or problems in operations or maintenance - Ability to pay close attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations - Familiarity with calipers and other measuring tools for precision work - Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and strength to lift heavy objects, sometimes up to 100 lbs. unassisted, as needed - Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently If you are a motivated individual with the necessary skills and experience, are reliable and looking for long-term employment we invite you to apply for this position.
