Able to lift and carry 30 pounds and sit and look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a chance of exposure to dust and mold (protective gear provided)

Job Summary
Reporting to the Records Management Director, the Records Manager facilitates records management activities for the University using the Kentucky Model State University Records Retention Schedule and other appropriate regulations.
In conjunction with Records Management Director:
Participates in records evaluations and in developing additions or changes to the records schedule
Manages the transfer, accessioning, and selected processing of university records of permanent value to the University Archives
Develops and conducts education and outreach activities about records management requirements and processes across the university
Identifies, develops, and documents university records management and archives procedures, functions, and policies
Attends meetings of and reports on state and local records management groups
Continues professional development and undertakes library and professional service
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Course work/experience in records and information management; office and Web applications; communication and customer service; analysis; judgement; decision-making; patience

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree with a minimum of one year experience in records management or related field.
