•Promote a lifelong love of learning and reading in all students * Build a school library program that aligns with the district's curriculum and strategic plan * Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and skillful researchers * Ensure equitable access to information * Ensure that students and staff are effective, ethical users of ideas and information * Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists * Promote and support instructional technology * Stay current in professional practices * Serve on decision making teams * Foster a flexible learning environment for students and staff * Research, develop, and maintain the library collection and curriculum resources. * Administer the school library budget * Supervise parent volunteers * Supervise the annual book fair * Participate in school duties * Establish a working relationship with the Wilmington Public Library * Ability to use the inter-library loan system * Administer grades 3 times a year * Other related duties as assigned
