Town of Danvers | Assistant Librarian Part Time

The Peabody Institute Library of Danvers welcomes applications for the part time, non-benefitted position of Assistant Librarian. The Town of Danvers is a reputable Town on the North Shore, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for Town staff – including a commitment to professional development and policies to support a healthy work/life balance. The Assistant Librarian provides direct service to patrons throughout the Library, and perform circulation, reference, and youth services work, as well as other duties as assigned.

The Peabody Institute Library will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying unless an item in the qualification section of the job description is labeled required.

Desired qualifications include any combination of: Associated degree or Bachelor’s Degree required; library experience preferred, strong technology skills required and successful completion of Criminal Offender Record Check (CORI) background check.

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position, salary starting at $19.09/hr, with the ability to move through the scale (via step system) to the max at $24.03/hr. Hiring range DOQ.
