Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Learning & Development Manager to lead the implementation of our global learning and development agenda in the Philippines. This role is ideal for an independent, high-performing L&D professional who can partner effectively with our Global L&D team, drive leadership development, and adapt global frameworks to local business needs. 

As the L&D Manager, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-impact learning programs that support capability building, leadership growth, and business performance. You will collaborate closely with HR and department leaders to ensure consistent, scalable, and engaging development experiences across all levels of the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Global Collaboration, Local Execution 

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Global L&D team and the Philippines office, ensuring successful localization of learning strategies and global standards. 
  • Adapt global learning programs to fit the local cultural and business context while maintaining strategic alignment. 
  • Represent the Philippines in global L&D initiatives and help shape future strategies based on local insights and needs. 
  • Partner with local HR and business leaders to ensure that L&D supports workforce development and business growth. 

Leadership Development & Talent Pipeline Growth 

  • Design and deliver leadership development programs for current and emerging leaders, including first-time managers and future people leaders. 
  • Work closely with senior leadership and HR to identify leadership capability gaps and implement development solutions that support succession planning and career growth. 
  • Help build a strong bench of promotion-ready leaders to support internal mobility and leadership continuity in Manila. 
  • Provide individual and group coaching to leaders and high-potential employees to strengthen people leadership skills and readiness. 

Program Design & Delivery 

  • Lead the full lifecycle of learning programs—from needs assessment and design to facilitation and impact evaluation. 
  • Apply modern instructional design and adult learning principles to create effective, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences. 
  • Deliver training in multiple modalities including classroom, virtual, coaching, and on-the-job learning. 
  • Create structured learning pathways for different employee segments, including onboarding, skill building, and leadership tracks. 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical and functional programs are aligned with business priorities. 

Data-Driven Impact 

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using feedback, performance data, and business outcomes. 
  • Provide insights and reports on program ROI, learner engagement, and development progress. 
  • Use data to identify development needs and recommend targeted interventions to close capability gaps. 

Technology & Tools 

  • Administer and continuously improve the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms. 
  • Stay current with innovations in learning technologies and tools to enhance the learner experience and program scalability. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., coaching, instructional design) are a plus. 
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a global or multinational organization with exposure to international collaboration. 
  • Demonstrated success in designing and facilitating leadership development programs and talent pipeline initiatives. 
  • Coaching experience (individual or group) is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and blended learning strategies. 
  • Proficient in using learning platforms and virtual training tools; comfortable with data analysis and learning metrics. 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment. 
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
