Job Description:

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing and executing the company’s learning strategy with a strong focus on developing the skills, knowledge, and performance of the Field Force team (Sales Reps, Medical Reps, etc.). The role will lead a team of Field Trainers and collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing departments to ensure that all training programs are aligned with company goals, market dynamics, and product strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Training Management
  • Develop the annual L&D strategy tailored to the needs of the Field Force
  • Define KPIs for training effectiveness and sales readiness
  • Identify skill gaps through assessments, feedback, and performance reviews
  • Field Force Development
  • Design and implement training programs for Sales & Medical Representatives
  • Oversee product knowledge rollouts, objection handling, selling techniques, and soft skills
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and continuous development programs
  • Performance & Reporting
  • Lead a team of Field Trainers: supervise, coach, and evaluate their performance
  • Track training impact on sales performance and knowledge retention
  • Provide quarterly reports on training effectiveness and ROI
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and updated product materials
  • Partner with Sales Managers to align training objectives with field priorities
  • Liaise with HR to support leadership development and career progression


Job Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Advanced certifications in L&D, Coaching, or Instructional Design are a plus
  • 5–8 years of experience in L&D with at least 2+ years managing field training
  • Experience in cosmeceutical, pharmaceutical, or FMCG field force training is required
