Our Learning and Development Manager is responsible for carrying out the designed training needs for the FindLaw sales team. The trainings will be focused around effectively articulating value and growth opportunities for our FindLaw customer base. By leveraging your experience in training, digital marketing and the strong understanding of our sales, renewal and retention objectives, you will carry-out and help design instructor-led trainings, e-learning and other learning resources. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for learning and development and for helping others to drive top sales performance. This candidate is a motivated individual who can work with moderate direction and drive measurable increases in productivity across our sales team.
Essential Job Functions/Requirements
- Facilitate and enhance sales onboarding curriculum by equipping our sales team with necessary skills and knowledge, including training on product value positioning, insight and data interpretation fluency and customer consulting.
- Design and develop comprehensive instructional programs and learning materials, instructor-led sessions, facilitator guides, e-learnings, facilitator guides, participant job aids and simulations.
- Assist in product launches by providing sales teams with comprehensive training to ensure successful product adoption
- Develop qualitative and quantitative methods for ongoing skill assessment. - Track and report on training progress and improvement.
- Analyze training effectiveness of sales training programs and make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
- Effectively partner with marketing, client manager and product peers to ensure accurate training content and message.
- Understand the FindLaw solution offering and understand the legal business in which the solutions can contribute value. Stay updated on product changes and how that may adjust training plans.
- Demonstrate proficiency in instructional design software and tools, such as learning management systems and authoring tools, to create engaging training materials for the sales team.
- Leverage a range of current technologies to work effectively and achieve enhanced business outcomes.
- Exercise strong facilitation skills to engage the sales team in effective training
- Work independently and as part of a team, maintaining strong organizational and time management skills.
About You - You’re a fit for the role of Learning and Development Manager if you:
- BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience in training, sales enablement, channel enablement, sales training or other equivalent.
- Has worked in the legal industry
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and overall communication skills
- Demonstrated coaching/mentoring skills
- Must be able to originate a creative and innovative approach to sales training needs.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understand proper business etiquette and maintain a professional attitude and integrity.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
