Summary

Position Summary

The Lead UI/UX Designer for Neptune's software product portfolio will oversee the design and user

experience of our commercial web-based applications and mobile applications. You will work within a

cohesive team of Product Managers, Project Managers, Software Developers, and other stakeholders to

create and define a quality user experience for all of Neptune's applications. This position is a first-level

leadership role who will supervise other designers and report to a Manager of Product Management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create intuitive and visually appealing user experiences using best practice design concepts
  • Conduct user research, create user personas, and develop user journey maps to inform design decisions
  • Translate customer needs into wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for our portfolio of mobile and web applications
  • Advocate for our customers by having a deep understanding of their needs through conducting user research, design iterations, and incorporating feedback gathered as part of Voice of the Customer sessions
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers to collaborate with Product Management and the Software Development team to deliver user experiences that meet business and product objectives
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative design culture
  • Communicate and present to key stakeholders regarding user needs and designed solutions
  • Collaborate with leadership to help set the vision for the ongoing improvement and unification of design across our product portfolio

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer

Science or Applied Science.

Experience: 4+ years of UI/UX design experience in an Agile development setting, with a

strong portfolio showcasing an expertise in web and mobile application design. Experience in the

water industry is a plus.

Skills: Proficiency with Figma and other design tools, knowledge of design for

responsive and mobile environments, proficiency in accessibility in software

design. Leads by example with creativity, critical thinking, and influencing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead effective and concrete

design outputs. Experience with usability testing and user-centered design

methodologies.

Location: Duluth, GA
