About the Project
A government-funded initiative at IIT Bombay focusing on the development and demonstration
of drone and allied technologies. This project aims to address various applications through the
utilization of advanced technologies and critical infrastructure. We foster strong industry
connections and collaborations to solve pertinent challenges and drive technological advancements. Comprehensive drone training and awareness programs will be provided to
ensure proficiency and understanding among people.
🔹Role Overview:
Lead the development of a cross-platform Drone Ground Control Station (GCS) application
using Qt and C++. You'll architect, build, and refine the mission planning UI, drone control
modules, and ensure an operator-optimized workflow.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
● Design and implement the GCS software architecture (Qt/C++)
● Lead mission planning, map UI, telemetry display, and control interfaces
● Coordinate with MAVLink developer for seamless data integration
● Establish scalable patterns (MVC/MVVM) for multi-screen GCS
● Manage Git repo, code reviews, and documentation
🧠 Skills Required:
● Qt Widgets & QML, C++11/17, Signals & Slots, Threads, MVC
● Qt Location, Qt Charts, OpenGL (basic visualization)
● Git, CMake, Unit Testing, Cross-platform builds
🎓 Qualifications:
● Experience: 5–7 years
● B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
● Proven track record in Qt-based desktop/mobile applications
● Exposure to drone systems or real-time robotics interfaces preferred
⭐Bonus:
● Experience building Qt-based telemetry or ground systems
● Contributions to open-source Qt or PX4/MAVSDK projects
