We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team within the Asset Management IT group.
As part of an agile, dedicated crew, you’ll collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to deliver optimal technology solutions, enabling business growth and success. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of both new and existing applications
- Translate business needs into technical solutions through active engagement with business and tech stakeholders
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and scalable code that meets business requirements
- Collaborate with team members on code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for assessing new projects and initiatives
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development
- Ensure alignment with architectural standards, principles, and security frameworks
- Implement and promote best practices in software development, including agile methodologies
- Address and resolve performance issues and enhance system reliability
- Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and across varying levels of stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven track record of building critical, distributed systems in Java with strong problem-solving skills
- Solid experience with messaging or middleware technologies
- Expertise in Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Proficiency in build tools such as Maven and Gradle
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git or GitLab
- Background in microservice architecture and Cloud Computing concepts
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and their practical application
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Docker or similar containerization tools
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services and its implementation
- Competency in SQL scripting (e.g., MSSQL)
- Skills in Python scripting for ad-hoc tasks or automation
- Showcase of strong data structure knowledge and algorithm design proficiency
