Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Cyber Security Lead Architect will provide technical supervision of security engineering and architecting activities. They meet with upper management to understand the company's technology and information systems, new & pressing needs. This role will complete hands on activities as needed, plan, research, design security architecture for Piedmont Healthcare, assign engineering tasks to the team, and discover areas of improvement within the security eco-system as well as within Piedmonts Information Systems. The Security Lead Architect reports to the Information Security Cyber Director.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline or equivalent senior experience required.

Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, NIST, and ISO

Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, common protocols and standards

Knowledge of one or more of the following; Microsoft O365 security solution suite, Data loss prevention security program & solutions, network access control solutions, Identity and Access Management security solutions, Cloud Security concepts for Cloud data centers

Minimum Experience Required

7 years or more delivering information technology and/or security infrastructure support

Provide security services for a medium to large enterprise ( 10,000 employees)

Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution

Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with security objectives, operational objectives, and tradeoffs associated with the network design process

Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with network access, identity and access management, and access authentication methods

Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, and HTTP

Knowledge of cryptology and encryption algorithms (e.g., IPSEC, AES, GRE, IKE, MD5, SHA, 3DES)

Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with the implementation of data security standards / guidance and regulatory / contractual information security requirements

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required

  • Certified in more than one of the following area(s): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC Security Essentials Certified (GSEC), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker, ISC2 Healthcare Certified Information Security System Practitioner (HCISSP)

Previous Security Engineering experience

Previous experience in system administration (4 years)
