We are looking for a talented and proactive L2 Systems & Network Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The L2 Systems & Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our IT systems and network infrastructure. This role involves responding to escalations from the L1 team, implementing solutions, and ensuring the seamless operation of our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Administration:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server environments, including Windows, Linux, and virtualized systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patch management, backups, and system upgrades.
• Ensure optimal system performance and availability.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policies, and other identity management systems.

Network Administration:

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Perform regular network performance checks and optimizations.
• Manage routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Escalation Support:

• Act as the escalation point for L1 engineers, resolving more complex systems and network issues.
• Document solutions and create knowledge base articles to aid the L1 team.

Project Support:

• Assist in the deployment of new systems, networks, and related IT infrastructure.
• Participate in IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and technology implementations.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and procurement.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, networks, configurations, and changes.
• Provide regular reports on system/network performance and incidents.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure all systems and networks adhere to company security policies and industry best practices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply remediation as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems and network administration roles.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and/or Linux systems.
• Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Firewall and VPN configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant certifications CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE.
• Experience with scripting/automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
