You’ll make a difference by:
- Ability to understand basics functions and specifications of items used in engineering and manufacturing.
- Processes purchase requests (depending on thresholds) adds necessary information (e.g. Commodity Code (ESN), INCOTERMS, etc...
- Organizes, files, and maintains proper documentation of procurement and business-related matters.
- Assists in contract negotiations and contract implementation.
- Maintains close communication with key suppliers. Places and/or participates in the process of placing purchase orders to suppliers.
- Analyzes material availability, manages purchase orders incl. tracking: checking of content, to ensure cost-efficient and on time supply of materials according to demand.
- Takes care of compliance with Procurement rules of Siemens and usage of Siemens contract partners and ensure the usage of competitive Terms & Conditions and by that obtaining highest feasible savings.
- Evaluate vendor quotation to ensure that they are in line with technical and commercial specification required.
- May generate savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
- Actively contributes to cooperation with all other parties involved passing on all relevant information to improve the flow of material and value through the supply chain.
- Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all project participants up to date.
- Researches and implements tools, processes, or infrastructures to achieve best practices and lowest cost sources of assigned commodity
Your success is grounded in:
- Experience – Min 2 years’ experience.
- Qualification – BE in electrical or electronics or similar.
- Electrical and electronic background with min 2 years of experience with purchase and sourcing.
- Hands in experience with SAP MM module.
