About the Role


The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Logistics is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with strategically important large customers. In this role, KAM Manager will act as a trusted advisor to our key clients, ensuring their logistics and supply chain needs are understood and met. He/she will drive revenue growth by developing comprehensive strategies to meet assigned targets and by managing critical customer accounts.


Key Accountabilities


  • Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Understands the client's business operations, supply chain needs, and logistics requirements.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing concerns and providing solutions swiftly.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase sales volume within existing accounts.
  • Develops account plans to grow business and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepares and manages budgets for key accounts.
  • ​Negotiates contracts and terms of service with key clients.
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction to retain and grow key accounts.
  • Monitors performance metrics and analyze data to ensure service levels are met.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a unified approach to account management.
  • Provides update on market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
  • Provides insights and feedbacks to inform strategic planning and product/ service development.
  • Maintains detailed records of account activities, communications and progress.
  • Utilize market intelligence to predict and respond to industry changes.
  • Coordinates with operations to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experience.
  • Monitors service performance metrics to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Leads contract negotiations with clients to ensure dair and profitable agreements.
  • Ensures all contracts comply with internal policies.
  • Updates and maintains accurate records of contracts and agreements.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • Graduate of any four-year Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management course
  • With 10-year experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role in logistics or supply chain industry
  • Must have a strong understanding of logistics operations and processes
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics to inform strategy
  • With excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to do field work to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • Must be familiar with the latest logistics technologies and trends.
