Role Overview

We are looking for a Java SDET to join our fast-paced team. You will play a crucial role in automating tests for cloud-native web applications, enabling high-quality and efficient delivery of software used by millions. Ideal candidates will be Java engineers with strong testing experience and a mindset for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated test frameworks for Java-based cloud-native applications.
  • Write automation scripts for REST APIs, message processing, and UI testing using Selenium/Protractor.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans.
  • Perform exploratory testing and identify functional gaps.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide daily status updates.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven.
  • Coach junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
  • Core Experience:
    • 3–5 years in quality engineering and automated testing.
    • Strong Java development and testing background.
    • REST API & message processing automation.
    • UI test automation using Selenium/Protractor.
    • Linux/Unix environment experience.
    • Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
    • CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins, Maven.
    • Familiarity with Java frameworks (Spring, JUnit).
  • Strong grasp of BDD/TDD, code review, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • Experience testing microservices and cloud-native applications (e.g., PCF).
  • Advanced Java and Spring ecosystem knowledge.
  • Familiarity with design principles, patterns, and vulnerability tools (Sonar, Checkmarx, Fortify).
