Summary

Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Governance and Policy Analyst to define and support IT governance frameworks, compliance initiatives, and enterprise architecture alignment within a federal agency environment. This position is suited for professionals with a strong background in federal IT policy, cybersecurity frameworks, and governance processes.

In this role, the analyst will lead efforts to ensure compliance with key frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and CISA, while also contributing to the refinement and implementation of IT governance models. Key responsibilities include managing requirement submissions, coordinating with stakeholders, preparing documentation for change control and review boards, and ensuring that governance supports broader mandates such as Zero Trust Architecture. The role also includes maintaining documentation artifacts like meeting minutes and recommending governance improvements.

Description

• Define IT governance structures and ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and CISA frameworks.
• Manage new requirement submissions, including gathering, documenting, and managing stakeholder needs and requirements
• Prepare requirements and change control documents for review by governing bodies
• Maintain meeting minutes and other related documents and artifacts
• Provide assessments and recommend improvements to governance models.
• Ensure EA efforts support Zero Trust and other agency mandates
  
  

Required Skills :

• Minimum of 5 years experience in information technology, IT governance, or a related field
• Generated business cases, cost benefit analyses, tradeoff analyses, or at least cost estimates for IT assets (systems, networks, applications)
• Designed, developed, or at least supported IT governance processes
• Strong understanding of IT requirements, portfolio management, and governance frameworks
• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FISMA, and federal IT laws.
• Policy documentation and IT controls implementation.
• Knowledge of federal security standards and hybrid governance strategies
  
  

Education, Certification, Clearance

• Active DOE Q-clearance or Top Secret
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  
  

Conditions of Employment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. Sponsorship will not be a part of this contract
• Must successfully complete a Blue Sky and customer background screening
