Job Overview:

As an IT Architect, you will take a proactive role in mapping and optimizing our applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for simplification and drive pragmatic solutions. Your primary focus will be on delivering technical designs and leading the execution of projects that simplify and standardize the architecture, helping the business achieve its strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-on Application and Infrastructure Mapping

• Actively map and assess the current application and infrastructure landscape across global and local entities.
• Collaborate directly with business leaders to understand their requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead technical design efforts to create a future-proof, simplified architecture.
  
  

Lead the Target Architecture & Simplification Roadmap

• Develop a comprehensive target architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and simplification strategies.
• Take the technical lead in designing and executing a roadmap for application consolidation, cost reduction, and performance optimization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are business-driven and technically sound.
  
  

Business Partnership and Project Leadership

• Work hand-in-hand with business leaders to create strong business cases for application standardization and rationalization.
• Lead technical design and architecture for key projects, ensuring they meet both business and technical needs.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to ensure successful project implementation.
  
  

M&A and Integration Support

• Evaluate technical integrations for M&A activities, ensuring systems compatibility and scalability.
• Provide hands-on expertise to ensure smooth transitions during mergers, aligning with the overall architecture.
  
  

What we're looking for in you...

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT architecture with a focus on solution and application architecture.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience in application and infrastructure mapping.
• Proficiency in leading projects and designing architecture that aligns with business strategies.
• Familiarity with corporate function applications (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a pragmatic and solution-driven mindset.
• Strong collaboration skills, able to partner with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead and influence across global teams.
• Relevant certifications will be considered a strong asset. These may include cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure Architect), Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE), TOGAF, ITIL, or other industry-recognized certifications in solution architecture and application development. Experience with tools such as Jira or enterprise architecture frameworks would also be advantageous.
• Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
