Responsibilities The Data Engineer develops and maintains data pipelines and processes related to data movement and transformation within the enterprise. This requires the creation of new pipelines using established code management and standard methodologies using provided tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as lead engineer for infrastructure teams and efficiently manage projects responsible for providing all server, all network and phone related services. Maintain the overall performance and availability of network including monitoring, installing, testing, maintaining, trouble-shooting, and securing voice and data network equipment and facilities. Maintain server infrastructure including: Physical Servers, Virtual Servers, SAN (Compellent, Violin, Nimble), iSCSI switching, fiber channel switching, VDI environment. Implement and administer proactive measures (maintain backups, antivirus, daily system checks, logs, alerts, etc.) Lead all the automation efforts for all processes, application and technologies Support all Cisco infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Support Cisco software solutions including Call Manager and Contact Center. Support MPLS network and SIP and POT telecom services for all our locations Manage vendor relationships for product information, maintenance, billing, contract issues, and the timely resolution of escalated issues. Develops pricing and contract with vendors for software, licenses, network components, equipment, cabling, and wiring for new implementations or upgrade. Implement and assure adherence to IT policies and procedures. Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels. Work with IT Director and IT Managers to provide effective solutions to business issues. Escalate, as appropriate, to management or other teams any incident needing additional resources or management awareness, maintaining ownership of the issue Create, publish and maintain current and accurate documentation and diagrams. Communicate status of issues with responsible parties and handle proper escalations as necessary. Ability to own projects and issues from identification through resolution. Work with various groups in the organization to develop and implement IT and business projects as required Will participate in rotating 24x7 on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time. Being available when needed for after-hours/weekend maintenance, support and projects. Provide proper disaster recovery tools, and verify that the environment is recoverable. Stay up-to-date with technology trends, and research those that can be useful to the business. Maintain a solid understanding of emerging technology in all areas responsible for Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field 3 years of related IT experience 2+ year of technical experience in infrastructure Posted Min Pay Rate USD $1,078.35/Yr.
