Job Summary:
Seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Informatica IICS Architect to design, develop, and implement complex data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL/ELT development, cloud data integration, and modern data architectures. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions that support the organization’s analytics and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration Development
- Design, build, and deploy advanced data integration solutions using Informatica IICS.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data across diverse data sources such as on-prem databases, cloud data stores, SaaS platforms and APIs.
- Design and implement real-time and batch data integration pipelines leveraging IICS components like Application Integration, Cloud Data Integration, and Data Quality.
- Develop reusable IICS assets, mappings, workflows, and templates to accelerate development efforts
- Data Governance and Quality
- Leverage IICS Data Quality tools to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Implement data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes to improve data trustworthiness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data integration workflows and transformations for traceability.
- Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Optimize mappings and pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Monitor and fine-tune IICS pipelines for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex data integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Project Delivery and Collaboration
- Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead and support multiple data integration projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest IICS features, cloud technologies, and data integration trends, bringing innovative solutions to the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data integration development, with at least 4+ years working specifically with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing principles, and modern data architectures.
- Expertise in Informatica Cloud Data Integration, including mappings, tasks, and parameterized pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Azure, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Proficiency in integrating with APIs (REST, SOAP) and handling JSON/XML data formats.
- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques for Informatica mappings and cloud workflows.
- Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica IICS certifications (e.g., Informatica Cloud Data Integration Specialist).
- Experience with real-time streaming tools and architectures (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
