Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking an IAC Network Engineer.
Summary:
We're seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining key aspects of our network environment, supporting a wide range of technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-based network services. You'll also play a vital role in the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of our global network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based network infrastructures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud
* Configure and manage virtual private networks, VPCs, subnets, and hybrid network connectivity
* Use tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate and manage infrastructure changes
* Lead initiatives for integrating cloud network services with enterprise applications and services
* Deploy and maintain Cisco and Arista routing and switching environments to support core network operations
* Build and optimize enterprise wireless environments using Cisco and Meraki technologies
* Strengthen network security through advanced firewall configuration (Palo Alto), IPS/IDS solutions, and proactive threat monitoring
* Troubleshoot advanced network performance issues and outages using deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and diagnostic tools
* Support and maintain virtualized environments leveraging VMware to ensure high performance and availability
* Contribute to voice infrastructure initiatives, including support for VoIP platforms (experience with Cisco CUCM and UCCX is a plus)* Deep technical expertise in network routing, switching, and firewall technologies
* Solid hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks and automation tools
* Proven ability to resolve complex networking problems and maintain high system reliability
* Demonstrated experience designing scalable and secure network architectures
* Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools to proactively maintain network health
* Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across departments to drive infrastructure improvements
