Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $170,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement strategic initiatives that advance the organization's mission and goals.
• Ensure that all policies and practices are legally compliant and aligned with industry best practices.
• Implement, optimize, and streamline HR systems, tools, and resources.
• Provide guidance and prompt closure on complex employee relations situations.
• Build and nurture effective and consultative relationships at all levels to become a trusted partner and coach throughout the agency.
  
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or senior professional certification is highly preferred.
• Have advanced knowledge and practical application of California, federal, and local employment laws, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrate experience and expertise in system conversions, employee relations, and total rewards.
• 5+ years of senior human resources leadership and supervisory experience, preferably within the non-profit human services sector with up to 1,000 employees.
• Demonstrate experience managing complex employee relations cases, including conducting fact-finding investigations and mitigating employment risk.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ability to establish, analyze, and leverage HR and people metrics to support strategic decision-making.
• Exhibit advanced written and oral communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders and executives.
• Show proficiency in computer skills, including human resources and payroll technology, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and presentation software.
• Be a hands-on leader, willing to lead and execute the work required.
