Overview
For the further growth, strategy development and implementation of the SCADA department, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Head SCADA Engineering to complement our Process Solutions division and further expand our automation expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective execution of SCADA projects, computer system validation and further development of the SCADA platforms, including SKAN's digitalization strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and inspire the SCADA team (approx. 18 employees)
Responsible for project resource allocation, with evenly distributed workloads
Cost-center management
Develop relevant working and documents processes for platform SCADA engineering and maintain process interfaces
Foster a collaborative and quality focused team culture that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth
Responsible for a high standard in quality of team deliverables
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations and define yearly targets
Ensure an agile team structure, with project- and supporting roles
Monitor and track team performance in projects, employee development and strategic initiatives
Collaborate with other relevant departments, other SKAN locations and external partners
Ensuring process tests based on given system architecture as well as GMP and standard-compliant qualification
Hardskills
Completed Engineering degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant engineering fields (FH/university)
10+ years of experience as automation professional, and 5+ years with disciplinary management experience in automation technology or a similar professional environment
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for high quality
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
Fluency in English, knowledge of German an advantage
High level of personal responsibility; solution-oriented
Visionary way of thinking
Competent appearance towards customers (internal and external)
Cooperation with our automation teams in Germany, USA and Japan
Willingness to travel worldwide approx. 10%
