Head of Quality

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the US region Quality Control Departments, including Managers, Quality Engineers, Technicians, QC Lab, APDL Lab.
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement of Product Quality through the life cycle from new products to manufacturing
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System requirements, IATF and ISO Certifications
  • Set the Quality Objectives and Goals for the Sites
  • Drive improvement in Customer Quality and feedback, visit Customers as needed to address and improve quality
  • Monitor and improve the Total Cost of Quality, which includes both Internal and External Costs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to focus quality efforts, identify root causes, corrective and preventive actions
  • Participate as a member of the regional Management Team, reporting on Quality trends and developing Quality Strategy
  • Responsible for Supplier Quality which also includes outside processes, convertors, pass thru, etc.
  • Collaborate with other Freudenberg sites to identify and implement Best Practices

Qualifications

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field is required
  • 5 years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment, Nonwovens and Textiles experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of management experience at a similar level
  • Certified six sigma black belt
  • Knowledge of ISO and IATF Standards
