With experience as a recognised technical specialist responsible for managing senior level customer relationships you will also assist in developing deployment of expertise and provision of advice across multiple sectors with a primary focus on Transport projects.
About the role:
Overall Design delivery of transport projects
Client management with respect to design
Management of scope, schedule, and budget for design activities
Resourcing the overall design team with sufficient, competent resources
Performance of the design teams
Preparing a work breakdown structure
Establishing the disciplines and the work package teams
Management of subconsultants
Management of change control;
Managing the design team in accordance with Engineering and Design management plans;
Manage scope programme and change;
Monitoring the quality of the design in accordance with the Project objectives;
Liaison with all necessary stakeholders;
Technical review and comment of all design packages at all stages of submission;
Candidate Specification
About you:
You will have a range of transport infrastructure experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications relevant to project management or engineering degree acceptable to recognised and relevant professional body
Advanced Experience in the design, management and coordination of multi-discipline teams on Transport Infrastructure Projects and Programmes
Highly developed work winning, negotiation and facilitation skills
Ability to establish positive relationships with clients that enable ongoing work to be created
Advanced communication skills and experience in external and internal stakeholder management, including influencing the outcome of decisions
Proven skills in the business of consulting engineering including cost and profit monitoring, financial and project control, including scheduling, risk management, cost control and change management
Experienced in creating, developing and leading high performing teams
Advanced business development and client management skills
Change and culture leadership
Well-developed coaching skills and a developer of people
