Responsibilities

• Implement Internal Audit Charter/Manual/Policy and Process & Procedure;
• Planning direction and strategy for Internal Audit Department (IAD);
• Develop and formulate the risk-based audit plans for the bank operations, and determine the priorities of the internal audit activities, consistent with the organization’s goals;
• To identify and assess risks relevant to the activities under review in order to establish the audit plan;
• Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the internal audit’s requirements, methodology and appropriate standards prescribed by IIA.
• Prepare the audit work schedules and plan;
• Supervising audits and reviewing the work performed by the respective Manager, Team Leader and Auditors, to ensure the adequacy of audit scope, the adequacy of testing performed, and the accuracy of conclusions reached;
• Review and submit the audit report to Audit Committee of the Board;
• To participate and provide value-added recommendations for any projects, process improvements initiatives and review of relevant manuals on internal control matters;
• Develop and maintain a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of the audit activities;
• Prepare the Statement on Risk Management and Internal Control Report of the Bank for submitting to the Regulators i.e. NBC, CAFIU, etc.;
• Control and provide ongoing coaching on the job training to internal audit staff to ensure efficient execution audit program, leading to a significant reduction in internal control deficiencies in most of the auditable units.
• Other Assigned tasks by Audit Committee/Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in accounting, finance or the equivalent combination of education and/or as relevant professional certifications (i.e. CIA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.
• A minimum of at least 5 years audit experiences is required
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong communication skill and leadership.
